Aristomachus, son of Talaus and Lysimache, stood among the brothers Adrastus, Parthenopaeus, Pronax, Mecisteus, and Eriphyle.1 He was the father of Hippomedon, though some accounts name Talaus as his father instead.2

His life ended in a race after Tricolonus, where he was overtaken by fate and killed by Oenomaus.3,4 A monument at the site marked his resting place, and Pelops reportedly sacrificed to him annually as a hero.3
