How a god is made
From the ancient sources to a character you can turn around: the four steps every Godsunder character goes through.
Every god in Godsunder goes through the same process before it appears on this site, and it starts with the myths rather than with a picture.
A brief from the sources
Each character begins as a written brief built from what the ancient texts say: who they are, what they carry, what they are known for. Zeus has his thunderbolt and eagle; Athena her aegis and owl. Where the poets disagree, the brief keeps to what the sources share.
A full character sheet
From the brief comes a character sheet: a hero portrait, turnarounds, close-ups of the face, the equipment laid out piece by piece, the materials and the colours. Every character gets the same complete sheet, whether they rule Olympus or appear in a single myth.
A strict review
Every sheet is reviewed panel by panel. A wrong hand, a missing strap, a belt that changes from one view to the next: anything a player would notice sends it back. Most characters go through several rounds before they pass. Nothing is approved with a known flaw.
Ready for 3D
Once a sheet is approved, the character is drawn in four clean views, front, three-quarter, side and back, so it can be built as a 3D model for the game. Those four views are what you can turn around on each character page.
How AI fits in
Godsunder is made by one person directing a studio of AI tools, and the art is part of that. The tools draw; the briefs, the rules and the review decide what is good enough. You can read more in the FAQ.
New characters appear on the site as soon as they pass. More gods, Titans, heroes and monsters are on their way.
