STORK (large wading bird)
Creature of Greece
A tall, slender adult stork with a substantial white body, a long neck, and long red legs. It has a narrow white-feathered head with dark brown eyes and a long, straight, pointed red bill. The folded wings show a broad black area along their lower edges, contrasting with the white plumage.
