Grouper, heavy robust reef fish, full-length portrait

A large, robust reef fish with a deep, slightly compressed body and a bulky forebody. It has a large, broad head with a blunt snout, a very large mouth, and thick fleshy lips. Its skin is dark brown with irregular lighter brown and tan mottling, and its fins are dusky brown.
